I was born and raised in Saint- Petersburg, Russia and was the Russian tutor and program coordinator at UC Santa Barbara. I kept up with the language and culture by minoring in Russian language which included classes in history, literature and grammar. I enjoyed working with students in groups and on one-on-one basis helping them reach their goals. I was lucky enough to be the only tutor for all of the Russian language classes at UCSB so I personally observed the progress each student made with every advancing chapter. It was a pleasure to see the excitement and happiness from the students once they understood yet another concept of such a complex language as Russian. That experience has only deepened my desire to help others in learning the language.
